Maslina was born from a tradition we didn’t even know we had.
Every year, we travel back to Croatia to visit family. And every year, we come home with a suitcase full of their olive oil. Back in the US, we could never find anything like it. Not the taste, not the quality, and certainly nothing from the Dalmatian Coast, where our family has always lived.
So much of what makes those trips special happens around a table. Fresh fish, good company, and olive oil that makes everything taste the way it’s supposed to. Like a lot of families, we’d stock up before the flight home. Oil, cheese, anything we could fit. Back home, once word got out, that oil had a way of disappearing fast. Friends and family would try it once and never stop asking for more.
We realized there had to be a better way to keep everyone supplied that didn’t involve crossing our fingers at baggage claim. Enter Maslina. Now we have plenty to go around.
